I feel that Scythe is a good example of a young adult book because on its way of showing life. Books for younger audiences will most likely show only or mostly the best side of the world , but Scythe shows the dark and worse side of the world.
I feel like even though it shows the darker side, a message throughout is like how to fight that darker side off and stick with being compassionate and having a sense of right and wrong.
Scythe is a good example of young adult literature because it is written with young adult themes. Themes like death and morals are things that wouldn't be found in books made for younger audiences. Scythe shows themes of morals through the job of a Scythe and how they have to kill and working around deathl even before a Scythe.
This novel is a good example of young adult literature because it deals with more mature things. It talks a lot about death and the way everyone has to die. I feel like younger audiences wouldn't be found reading or understanding it. It is more mature about all of the topics associated with this novel.
This a good example of a contemporary young adult novel because it follows young adult people through their hardships. The things these three kids go through is something not many people should have to deal with but it still happens. Whether it be a loss of a loved one or neglect from parents, these kids have been through it. It shows a good example to young adults with problems relating to these today that they can still have a great future ahead of them.
this is a good example because it has young adults in it and it shows that you can stand up for whatever you believe in. today people don't really stand up for anything anymore but it does show how much we should stand up for things.
Unwind is a good example of a young adult novel because it mainly stars characters who are young adults themselves, along with addressing contemporary issues with which young adults are likely to be concerned and at least somewhat knowledgeable on, while also providing a unique and intriguing critique of said issue. It is a shining example of contemporary young adult literature in my opinion, and many authors could benefit from taking notes.
This is a good example of young adult because of the ages of people. Since Citra and Rowan both fit in the age category of young adult i think it fits well. The charachters in this book go through many unusual hardships which can be good example of young adult.
The Scythe series is a great example of contemporary young adult literature due to the ages of the main characters, the relevancy of the internal battles they fight, and because the concept of these books is undeniably creative and outside-the-box.
I think that this book is a good example of contemporary young adult literature because it has 17-23 year olds in it but also way older people. I also think that this is a good example because of how some of the people are dealing with their mental health including Volta. And how they deal with the gleanings.
I feel like because of the characters and their ages this book would be a example of a contemporary young adult lit book. Another reason that makes this book a good example is because of the issues that each character deals with.

this book is a great example of a young adult book because, not that young adults in the US would just go around killing others, but many people experience death throughout their life. This book also shows how others deal with a ton of emotions, likewise Citra. This book is also creative in many ways. I really enjoyed this book.
I read the second Scythe book and both of the books are good examples of young adult literature because of how old the main characters were and because of the message it sends us. When Scythe Faraday took in Citra and Rowan they were both around the age of 16 and when Citra became a Scythe she was still a teen. This book sends out a good message because in this perfect world that the Thunderhead has made they have no issues other than trying not to die from Scythe's, but in our world it is like the same thing but we try to get away from danger from ourselves and other people. I loved both of the books and I thing they both had a good message for teens/young adults.
Although I thought the first two books were good examples of young adult literature I don't think I can say the same for the third. Now that Rowan and Citra are older they are matured more then most young adults. They are faced with many challenges like saving the world and taking down the Overblade. Many young adults can't relate to the extreme challenges that Citra and Rowan had to face and that's why I don't think this represents young adult literature like the other two books in the series.
I think it's a great example as it revolves around young adults with their own struggles yet still is dystopian so it gives that escape from reality that many people want or need.
