What I think makes Turtles All The Way Down a "good" example of a contemporary young adult novel is the fact that the characters are actually young adults. In Turtles All The Way Down the main characters are all in high school and high schoolers fit in the young adult category in my perspective. If the characters were older in Turtles All The Way Down then I would not believe this book would be a young adult novel.
I agree with this comment because if the charecters were older then the book would not make as much sense because Davis lived with his dad and if he was older then he would not have to live with his dad.
I believe that Turtles All the Way Down is a "Good" example of a young adult literature book and also contemporary. In this story the main characters are all in high school. It shows what highschoolers go through and how you can relate to that. It also has connections a lot of young adults have, for instance, there is a little bit of romance involved. I think that this book should be categorized as a Contemporary young adult novel.
I agree that there are many things that teenagers and young adults can relate to in this book. Some mainly being friendship, relationships, and mental health.
I think that the novel is a good example of contemporary young adult literature because it has characters that are the age of young adults. And it also is a good example because the book includes a lot of mental health in it and nowadays more people speak up about their mental health, just like in the book.

I also feel its a good book for this because the kids in it are teenagers and thinking about college and how there going to get their. there are a lot of family issues and love that goes on in this book but I think that's also what makes it good.
Turtles is a very good example of young adult literature. The writing style is very distinctive, with the separation between Aza and her thoughts, with her narration and her internal/invasive thoughts essentially being different characters. It allows for a much more dynamic character and for the character to have implied growth and recovery. Simply removing the internal thoughts of Aza shows the reader her recovery at the end of the book. It is a great representation of contemporary young adult literature.

This book is set in this time period because a lot of the things that happen in the book could happen in real life. Aza has a mental illness and it is brought up a lot in the book and how she overcame it with the help of therapists, friends, and her mom. I think that a lot of people in real life have an illness that is hidden but Aza got help from people and I think that the same thing should happen in real life and you should get the help that you need.
I read the Anthropocene Reviewed and thought it was a really great example of contemporary literature. The whole concept for this book was to write about the current state of our existence and provide John Green's thoughts and reflections on human nature and how we shape the world around us. Plus, the format was unique, which I like and think also contributes to making this book very contemporary
I think this book is a good example of a contemporary young adult book because it deals a lot with mental health which is always in discussions today and plays a big role in teens lives. With the characters being young adults in their middle to late teens it hepls because the young adult readers will hopefully be able to understand better.
